- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆For a police department, I am very disappointed... I called on Friday (4.14.17) for a non-emergency/emergency. There was a reckless driver getting on the I-10 freeway from Monroe St heading west. Mind you I am currently pregnant and driving with my husband as passenger and our 2 small children with me (ages 4 and 6). I saw this driver in my review mirror because I noticed a lot of cars swerving and changing lanes, not understanding what was going on at first I slowed down to get in the far right lane... A man in a black Mazda6 came speeding by! Once he passed I noticed him and the women with him flipping people off and yelling out there windows, with loud music (Coachella Fest goers I took it). Any ways, I'm assuming them not paying attention looked like they almost were going to slam in the back of a SemiTruck! They slowed down for a few minutes. Unfortunately long enough for me to be close to them... They then had the audacity to switch over into my lane WHILE I'm still more than half a car next to them! I hit my breaks and honk my horn! Also in front of me was a gentleman on a motorcycle, and they got scary close to him. He got out from in front of them, slowed down to ask if we were all okay. My husband said we were alright, that the kids were just scared. The motorcyclist, sever times had to avoid getting hit by this car! After the kids started getting nervous, I had my husband call the PD Police Department, as they were the closest to us. Had us on hold for nearly 10 minutes, finally was able to give the report (took pictures of the license plate).The black Masda6 got off at the Bob Hope exit. Was told by the dispatch women to wait half an hour for an office to call and confirm location to meet. An hour and a half later, nothing... Only reason for leaving the area we were in was because my children needed to use the restroom, there was none near by. It is now Tuesday, (4.18.2017) and still never received any sore of contact for the PD Police Department. Just amazed with the system we have to work with...By Kendall Villalobos, May 21, 2017
